Kutxabank virtual card service terms of use

Use of the Kutxabank Virtual Card Service implies acceptance of the following general conditions:

  1. Signing up for the Virtual Card service entails the incorporation to the same of one or more physical cards issued by Kutxabank, of which the person contracting the service must be the holder, with a signed contract currently in force.
  2. The service allows the user to associate to the cards issued in their name by Kutxabank one or more virtual cards, so that when making a payment on the Internet they can provide the details of the virtual card without having to reveal those of the physical card.
  3. Use of the Virtual Card Service requires the user to be signed up to the Kutxabank Online Banking Service, with a signed contract currently in force.
  4. In every operation carried out using this service, the holder will choose the virtual card with which they wish to make the payment, and will thus have a different card number to that of their linked actual card, with which they will be able to carry out the operation on the Internet, with all the security advantages this implies.
  5. The indicated use entails registering your identification, the numbers of Virtual Card and the operation, and its acceptance, without placng at risk the information regarding the card to which it is linked.
  6. The Virtual Card Service is not valid for operations that require the presentation of the actual card, both in the event that presentation of the same is necessary on delivery of the product or service or if it is compulsory for a possible susbequent refund.
  7. The parties recognise the full legal effectiveness of the transactions made using the Virtual Card Service, said transactions having the same value and effectiveness as the operations carried out by the holder with their actual card issued by Kutxabank. For this purpose, the person shown as holder of this contract agrees to accept the charges for all the operations carried out within the framework of this Virtual Card Service in the associated account shown in the contract for the issuing of their Kutxabank card . If, when using the Virtual Card Service, the acceptance reaches the limit of the amount set when the Virtual Card is generated, plus up to an extra 10% of said amount to cover possible exchange differences and other small variations or complementary amounts inherent to the service or product contracted.
  8. With regard to the above, the parties agree that:
    • The Virtual Card is beneficiary of the actual card issued by Kutxabank to which it is linked.
    • The payment method for the Virtual Card is the same as that established for the actual card to which it is linked.
    • The Virtual Card is created with a maximum limit and repayment period.
    • The Virtual Card is exclusively for operations on the Internet.
  9. The Virtual Card Service is initially provided free of charge. This condition may be changed and Kutxabank is obliged to communicate any modification to the holder with a minimum advance notice of 2 months.
  10. The Virtual Card Service is contracted for an indefinite period, although any of the parties may cancel the contractual relationship by giving advance notice to the other party: one month in the case of the holder, and two months in the case of Kutxabank.
  11. For that not considered in these clauses, the general and special conditions of the contract for the actual card issued by Kutxabank to which the Virtual Card is linked will be applied.
